Engineer Sales Representative

Guthrie Oklahoma | Reports to: Director of Sales & Marketing

Autoquip is looking for a talented individual for the position of Engineer Sales Representative who is energetic, customer driven, professional with technical acumen.

Autoquip Corporation designs and manufactures custom lift products for our customers who are the largest companies in the world.  Typically our products are integrated and used in manufacturing, distribution, and retail.  The largest aerospace companies depend upon Autoquip for custom products for their manufacturing processes.  Autoquip continues to differentiate itself to our customer with custom offerings, adaptation of our products, and integration of our products into our customers manufacturing systems.  Advanced electrical controls are a growing part of our business along with automation system integration plus the development into IOT and Internet 4.0 capabilities.

Position Overview

The ideal individual will have strong technical capabilities, great communication skills, and CAD or Solid Works modeling a plus.  Adept to quickly learn the Autoquip product line with the capability to understand our customer’s requirements, and the ability to choose and adapt our products to meet their needs.  This individual should have a knowledge of electric control systems, or the desire to learn how they integrate into our products and into our customers manufacturing systems.   While the position is typically office based, the flexibility to travel to customer sites, as needed is required.  The position offers opportunities for growth and expanded responsibilities based on the individuals passion and drive.

Business Contributions

  • Customer Support – The inside salesperson will provide complete customer support to our dealer network and to their customer; the end user. This position manages the customer process from start to finish.
  • Represent the Company – The inside salesperson represents Autoquip to our customers professionally, honestly, and honorably. The inside salesperson works closely with our dealers and their customers.
  • Internal Company Communication – The inside salesperson works closely with outside sales, engineering, and manufacturing.

Skills & Abilities

  • Customer Oriented – The inside sales professional must have the personality, attitude, and people skills to build relationship with Autoquip’s customers to achieve short and long term results.
  • Communication Skills – Ability to communicate with customers verbally and in written form.
  • Organization Skills – The inside sales professional must be able to manage their time, respond quickly to customers needs while working on many quotations and orders.
  • Technical Sales – Autoquip’s products are technical and sold into industrial settings thus involving a level of technical understanding and knowledge.  The candidate must be able to understand engineering drawings and technical information with the ability to communicate this information to the customer.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering.   Experience in related field with 2-4 years of technical customer service experience preferred.
  • MS office products, ERP and CAD systems a plus.
  • While the position is office based, light travel may be required.
