Accurately apply paint to lift equipment as per manufactured recommended process and safely move material throughout the paint shop. Maintains a schedule and report activity in the company operating system.
•Schedule work based on load sheets and dispatches reports.
•Maintains safe material movement and product setup for painting.
•Must adhere to all OSHA, equipment safety rules and plant safety polices.
•Demonstrates ability to use paint measuring gauges, such as dry and wet film thickness and ZAHN cup viscosity.
•Demonstrates ability to apply coating in the required thickness to keep a consistent run free finish and gloss appearance.
•Perform painting duties utilizing all required personal protective equipment and clean up as mandated by Autoquip and per MSDS.
•Maintain and inspect equipment for function and performance. Report any maintenance requirements to supervisor.
•Complete routine PM check sheets.
•Must be able to work as a team in a collaborative, positive style.
•Must have paint shop experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
•Attend a company sponsored overhead crane and fork truck safety classes.
•Must pass the AQ paint test and have a valid driver’s license.
•Safety awareness of heavy material in motion, paint chemicals and MSDS requirements.
•Must abide by all safety requirements: respirator, hearing protection, and all personal protective equipment.
•Operate spray gun.
•Knowledge of crane operation & material handling.
•Organize material in a scheduled flow.
•Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety levels.
•Ability to work with all plant employees in a positive manner.
•Demonstrated product and documentation knowledge.
•Self-motivated to meet or exceed schedule production times and output levels.
