Maintenance “B”

Guthrie Oklahoma | Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor

Business Contributions

This position is responsible for performing both routine and new duties for keeping Autoquip plant operation and equipment maintenance first rate and in pristine condition.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on the building & equipment as per the PM schedule.
  • Diagnose & repair equipment failures that are mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic on the basic factory equipment.
  • Support the maintenance inventory management and reordering systems.
  • Identify safety related issues throughout the facility and correct as required; recognize and adhere to personal safety issues as well as operating and safety policies.
  • Be conscientious; be reliable in taking responsibility for work completion with a quality mind-set; work overtime as required to fulfill production needs.
  • Perform routine task such as change plant lights, oil & grease equipment, clean machines, trash removal, equipment repair, painting and back up janitor duties, etc.
  • Collect & organize used oils, paint debris and other liquids / flammables that are collected within the category of Haz Mat.

  • Basic Computer Skills & Business System Knowledge
  • Demonstrate ability in a wide range of maintenance skills such as carpentry, plumbing, mechanics, janitorial, electrical, and use of manual and mechanical tools.
  • Operate a variety of manual and motorized equipment.
  • Capability to Learn New Duties, Skills, Adjust to Changes
  • Safely Enter Work Areas to Accomplish Task while Minimizing Interference to Production

Physical Demands

  • Lift up to 50 – 70 lbs, Pushing/ Pulling up to 40 lbs
  • Bending, Stooping, Climbing & Walking 6 – 8 hours per day
  • Work at Floor and Elevated Levels
  • Able to Certify / Drive Company Vehicle, powered lift trucks, manlift, sweepers & operate overhead crane

Requirements

  • Understand and complete the required tasks and schedules.
  • Perform both routine and new duties and be able to work independently or work from general instructions.
  • Evaluate facts for reaching sound conclusions; good decision making ability; effectively prioritize work; objectively assess work issues.
  • Adhere to all company standards and instructions; work accurately; be thorough; follow up. Including all OSHA, LOTO, equipment & plant safety rules.
  • Be able to organize work, meet deadlines through an effective use of time. Work in a manner that is consistent with quality production; ensuring quality work when project is complete.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with building, crane systems, hydraulic and electrical experience and complete the required Autoquip job testing.
