Regional Sales Manager – Mountain Region

Guthrie, OK (initial); Remote with Regional Travel | Reports to: Director of Sales & Marketing

Position Summary

Autoquip Corporation is seeking a technically proficient and results-driven Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead sales growth across the Mountain Region, including: Alberta, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Manitoba, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Saskatchewan, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.

This role begins with a 2–3 year training and integration period at our Guthrie, OK headquarters, then transitions to a remote-based position with regular travel throughout the assigned region.

The RSM is responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and cultivating long-term customer relationships through a consultative, application-focused approach. This includes promoting Autoquip’s full range of lift solutions—standard, custom, and automated—along with the new J.A. Becker (JAB) product line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive regional sales growth while meeting quota, margin, and profitability targets.
  • Engage directly with dealers, OEMs, and system integrators to identify and develop new business.
  • Lead solution development through on-site consultations and technical needs assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering to scope, design, and deliver customized equipment proposals.
  • Support product positioning, including custom lifts, automation packages, and JAB-branded solutions.
  • Maintain disciplined use of ERP/CRM tools (E10) for activity tracking, forecasting, and quote analytics.
  • Monitor regional market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging customer trends.
  • Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal engineering, project management, and operations.
  • Travel extensively to support partners, develop new accounts, and maintain regional presence.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in industrial equipment, automation, or custom engineered systems.
  • Strong mechanical/technical aptitude; able to read specifications and understand engineered applications.
  • Proven success in consultative/solution-based selling environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable managing a large, multi-state territory independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems (E10 preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Sales, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Training Base: Guthrie, OK (on-site, 2–3 years)
  • Remote Transition: Fully remote with regular regional travel
  • Territory: Alberta, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Manitoba, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Saskatchewan, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming
  • Compensation: Base salary + commission; expenses reimbursed
